Sapa, Vietnam was a resort town of French people in the French time. Sapa is 350kms from Hanoi. It locates in a highland 1500m above the sea level. Sapa nowadays become the most typical destination for Nothern Vietnamese and foreign tourists.



At weekend, city towner of Hanoi, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh... often drive cars to Sapa to enjoy their leisure time. And on the way back they carry the speciality of the cold land home.
The high season for Vietnamese that is summer when their children do not have to go to school and it is also the peak time for hot weather. Sapa shows up to be wonderful stop for them.




Sapa now becomes more and more popular for foreign tourists. every day Sapa welcomes thousands of travelers coming to from every corner of the world.
They come here to enjoy trekking, get to know the life of local, how they earn the living, their customs or simply to enjoy the pure air of the mountainous areas.



Sapa is now home to 6 different ethnic groups. You can easily realize them by their clothes. The Black H'Mong and Red Dzao are dominant  here. In the town, mostly the Viet (Kinh) people live and do their shop business which migranted from surrounding areas to town. Whereas, in the villages the local inhabited hundred of year.



To visit Sapa, you could go by bus or train. Bus takes less time and money than by train.
